71% of patients told they had RSD/CRPS I actually had Nerve Entrapment Syndrome, while 26% had a combination of
both Nerve Entrapment Syndrome and CRPS I.
Published peer-reviewed studies show that anywhere from
40% to 67% of chronic pain patients involved in litigation
are misdiagnosed. (1) (2).
Such incorrect and partial diagnoses result in inappropriate treatment. RSD cases have a reserve of $1,000,000 while nerve entrapments can be treated for $50,000, for a savings of $950,000 as the result of a proper diagnosis.

The Diagnostic Paradigm and Treatment Algorithm provides accurate diagnoses of such valid but misdiagnosed claimants. Workers compensation insurance carriers commonly report return to work rates of 1% or less for claimants who have been out for work for more than two years. (4) In contrast, published outcome studies from a clinic, using the Diagnostic Paradigm, involving patients out of work for an average of 4.9 years, document return-to-work rates of 19.5% for workers compensation claimants and 62.5% for auto accident claimants. Moreover, this clinic achieved a 90% reduction in the use of medication and a 45% reduction in doctor visits. (5) In 1992 Business Week named eight of the best pain treatment centers in the US, including Johns Hopkins Hospital (6) The On-Line Diagnostic Paradigm is an exact replication of the highly effective screening, diagnostic, and medical testing protocols developed with more than 7,000 pain patients over a thirty year period. The Diagnostic Paradigm diagnoses correlate 95% of the time with diagnoses of former Johns Hopkins Hospital staff members. (7) For certain types of catastrophic cases, including ones involving RSD/CRPS, the clinic achieved documented cost savings ranging from $90,000 to $2,500,000 per case by employing exactly the kinds of accurate diagnoses and proper treatment regimens that are now available using the $800 MCD Diagnostic Paradigm and Treatment Algorithm. The Diagnostic Paradigm and Treatment Algorighm can be administered on-line in English or Spanish in lawyers' offices, doctors' offices or at proctored settings at over 1,100 clinics affiliated with WorkSTEPS, the largest employment testing organization in the US. Results are typically available within 5 minutes
